A missing state seal or a cap that's poorly closed — or missing altogether — can easily slip through on an automated line running thousands of bottles an hour. Aptagram SealGuard is computer-vision software built to catch exactly that, on the line, before it ever leaves the plant — before the bottles are even cased, in fact.
Every stopped line costs money, so SealGuard is designed to work at line speed rather than force one. A camera trained on your line reads every bottle as it passes and flags non-conformities the instant they happen — an operator can act before a bad case ever reaches a truck, instead of finding out from a customer complaint, or worse, a fine.
Two things, done reliably: state seal presence and cap or closure verification — across dozens of bottle shapes and glass colors. Non-conformities trigger line-stop, audible, and configurable email alerts, and results feed back into your management software: production statistics, non-conformity reporting, and images linked to customer orders.
It's extendable to other product-specific checks, case by case, once the core detection is proven on your line.
Zanin 1895 — a historic Italian distillery producing over three million bottles across more than fifty products — runs two high-automation lines at thousands of bottles an hour each. At that speed, a small share of production needed rework: a missing or misapplied state seal, a missing cap, or a case shipped with a missing bottle.
