Production orders, guided like any other task
Work phases show up on the same devices and the same barcode-driven workflow your operators already use for picking and putaway. No separate tool, no separate login, no re-training — the shop floor runs on the same rails as the rest of the warehouse.
Pick ahead, consume on completion
Operators pick components to the bench in advance, phase by phase, using the same guided picking flow used everywhere else in the warehouse. Completing a phase is what actually consumes them — triggering the next phase, or, on the final one, the finished-product output.
One system, one truth
Production progress and stock movements update Business Central together, in real time. There's no gap between what's on the shop floor and what the ERP thinks is on the shop floor.
And it feeds straight into full traceability
Every component consumed this way becomes part of the finished product's serial genealogy — the same chain we covered in our previous post. Property sets, component lineage, shipment history: it's all one continuous data trail, starting right here at the production bench.
